Southern Door used eight forfeits and a pin to secure its second straight Packerland Conference victory, beating Peshtigo 54-22 Thursday night. The Bulldogs won the first two contested matches of the evening by pins, first by Katelyn Lewis in the third period at 170 pounds over Bradley Skippon and then by 220 pounder Riley Plosczynski over Riley Phillips. That gave Peshtigo an 18-12 lead that would get flipped in a hurry as Southern Door collected two forfeits at 106 pounds and 113 pounds. Dylan Wessel wrestled in his first match since suffering a concussion and made it count with a second period pin over Omer Farghali at 120 pounds. The Bulldogs' Nick Parrette earned a major decision over Drew Price close out the contested match for the evening at 138 pounds.
The varsity wrestlers head to Sheboygan North on Saturday for a tournament while the JV squad head to Bay Port for an invite of their own.
