Green Bay hosts Milwaukee in homecoming slate

It is homecoming weekend on the campus of UW-Green Bay as the both Phoenix basketball teams host state rival Milwaukee in a pair of games this weekend at the Kress Events Center. On Friday night at 7, the men battle the Panthers as they try to stay eligible for the year-end Horizon League Tournament, which only includes the top eight teams. A win would allow the Phoenix to leapfrog the Panthers in the standings and possibly UIC if the Flames also lose. Both teams enter the evening on two-game losing streaks. On Saturday afternoon at 1, the women get their turn to take on the Panthers after falling to IUPUI in overtime last Saturday. The loss put them in unfamiliar territory, looking up at Wright State and Youngstown State in the Horizon League standings. Both the men and women are coming into their games with the Panthers winning their first matchup earlier this season.
