The Sevastopol Athletic Booster Club, assisted by several students, brought plenty of popular events to the Fish Creek Festival this year. Yearly favorites such as ice bowling and the bike toss were conducted under the club’s name, with the proceeds set to be used toward any of the Sevastopol athletic programs that might need additional funding in the future. Joel Schauske, a football coach at Sevastopol and a volunteer at the festival, said the bike toss is the most popular event even if he couldn’t remember where it came from.
In addition to ice bowling and the bike toss, the booster club also assisted with a hockey competition, a football toss, and a peculiar tennis ball golfing event on the ice that paid out $500 for a hole-in-one.
