When the Gibraltar girls basketball team takes the court on Sunday, it will be on a larger court than they are accustomed to. The Vikings will be meeting Crivitz for a non-conference neutral-site matchup at the Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh. The contest will feature two teams with positive records both on the season and within their own conference, with the Wolverines sitting in first-place in the Marinette and Oconto Conference. Head coach Josh Kropuenske said the larger court will need to be adjusted to, but also pointed out the girls would need to get used to it anyway if they are to achieve the ultimate goal this season.
Crivitz did lose their last game 65-62 to Bonduel, but their junior guard Chloe Gruszynski (17.9 PPG) might prove to be a problem for Gibraltar. The game will follow the conclusion of an NBA G-League matchup between the Wisconsin Herd and the Canton Charge. The Herd are the G-League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, while the Charge are affiliated with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
