Both Green Bay Phoenix basketball teams enter the weekend hoping to secure higher seeds in next week's Horizon League Tournament.
On the women's side, the Phoenix look to avenge an earlier conference loss at home when it plays at IUPUI. The seesaw affair saw the Phoenix come back from a slow start, but could not close the deal in a 67-63 defeat at the hands of the Jaguars. A weekend sweep and some help could lead the Phoenix to their 21st straight conference title. Tonight's game starts at 6 p.m. in Indianapolis.
For the men, it continues to be a battle for seeding when they kick off a weekend with the conference's top teams with Wright State. A win over the Raiders and losses by UIC and IUPUI would allow the Phoenix to host a quarterfinal matchup next week and could finish as high as the three seed. A win would also be sweet revenge for an 87-75 loss to the Raiders just over a month ago. Tonight's game at the Resch Center begins at 7 p.m.
