Quality over quantity important for Sevastopol track

The Sevastopol Track team is not intimidated by larger teams because they know they have talent on their side. This year’s squad currently has only 24 kids total with just two seniors on the roster. However, the Pioneers return almost all of their athletes that headed to LaCrosse last spring for the state track meet. Head coach Chris Horvat says he understands the limitations of a small roster.

Horvat says one specific event to key on in 2019 is the 3200-meter relay team featuring Zoe Kuehn, Mya Ploor, Elizabeth Fiscus, and Olivia Stenzel, which took 3rd place in Division 3 in the state track meet. The Pioneers first meet is Thursday at UW-Oshkosh. You can listen to the entire coaches interview with Chris Horvat online at DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com.
