Brewers finally win wild marathon game

The longest game in Miller Park history included three sausage races and a walk-off victory for the Brewers. After 18 innings, the Brewers beat the Mets 4-3 on a two-run single by Ryan Braun.

The Mets were down 2-1 going to the ninth inning when Pete Alonso tied the game with a home run. The two teams then played 8 scoreless extra innings. In the top of the 18th, the Mets got on the board with a two-out RBI single by Jeff McNeil. The Brewers came up to bat and Mets pitcher Chris Flexen walked the bases loaded before Braun's heroic hit.

The two teams get a short break before playing the series finale on Sunday at 1:10 PM. Zach Davies will pitch for the Brewers against Jason Vargas.
