A three-run third inning was all Zach Davies needed to help the Milwaukee Brewers earn a series sweep after a 3-2 victory over the Mets Sunday.
After Lorenzo Cain drove in a run on a sacrifice fly, Christian Yelich marked his return to the line-up with a two-run homer into Miller Park's third deck to give the Brewers a three-run cushion.
Davies cruised his way to the eighth inning, giving up only an RBI single to Tomas Nido in the fifth inning and a solo home run to Juan Lagares in the seventh while striking out five.
Josh Hader struck out the side in the top of ninth for his ninth save of the season. The Brewers welcome the Washington Nationals to Miller Park beginning tonight at 6:40 p.m.
