Brewers salvage road trip finale against Braves

Three solo homers and a strong outing by Brandon Woodruff helped the Milwaukee Brewers win the final game of its road trip and its series against the Atlanta Braves 3-2 in extra innings. The Brewers' Christian Yelich and the Braves' Ronald Acuna traded solo homers in the first inning before highly regarded prospect Keston Hiura hit his first major league home run in the fifth inning to give the visitors a 2-1 lead. Freddie Freeman would tie the game up in the seventh inning for the Braves on a home run before Ben Gamel returned volley in the tenth inning with a dinger of his own. Josh Hader would get revenge after blowing his third save of the year on Saturday with a pair of strikeouts to end the game.

The Brewers get a well-deserved day off after their ten-game road swing before taking on the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday night at Miller Park.
