Brewers out slug Reds 11-9

The Reds raced out to a 5-0 lead in the second inning against the Brewers Wednesday, but Milwaukee battled back. The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds 11-9 on Wednesday afternoon. Zach Davies started on the bump and got roughed up. He allowed six earned runs in three innings of work. Junior Guerra would eventually come in to pick up the win in relief.

The bats finally came alive again in this one. Mike Moustakas had three hits on the day with one being a solo shot in the third inning. Keston Hiura also recorded his first homer inside Miller Park when he launched a solo shot of his own in the second inning. Josh Hader would come in to pick up his 12th save of the season.

Milwaukee will now have another day of rest Thursday before beginning a series with the Phillies on Friday. Chase Anderson will take the mound for the Brewers Friday. First pitch will be thrown out at 7:10.
