The Brewers won their second game in a row behind 10 strikeouts from starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff and two home runs. Milwaukee defeated the Pirates at Miller Park 10-4 on Friday night. Woodruff went six innings only allowing three runs and striking out 10 Pirates. Eric Thames got the scoring going with a two-run homer in the second inning. Ryan Braun also went yard with a three-run bomb in the sixth.
The Brewers and Pirates will play game two of their series Saturday afternoon at Miller Park with the first pitch at 3:10 PM. Zach Davies will start on the mound against Jordan Lyles.
