Brewers capture finale against Giants

The Milwaukee Brewers were able to jump on their plane to San Diego on a happy note, defeating the San Francisco Giants 5-3 in their series finale.

The Brewers struck first with RBI singles in the first and second innings to stake themselves to a 2-0 lead. The Giants would tie the game at two in the bottom of the second inning before the Brewers would retake the lead two innings later thanks to a RBI double by Christian Yelich. Eric Thames would tack on another run with his tenth homer of the season. With the score 4-3, Jesus Aguilar delivered the final blow in the sixth inning with his fifth home run of the season.

The Brewers head to San Diego to face the Padres with game one slated for tonight at 9:10 p.m.
