Two of Wisconsin Hockey's top recruits were drafted Friday night during the NHL draft. Alex Turcotte, who was selected fifth overall, to the Los Angeles Kings and Cole Caufield, taken by the Canadians at number fifteen, are both high prospects for Badger Coach Tony Granato. Both Turcotte and Caufield played on the United States Team Development Program in the USHL this past year. Caufield broke the all time goal record for the USTDP in 2018. Caufield, who was expected to go top ten by many draft experts, fell to fifteenth. According to NHL.com after being drafted Caufield said, “I am willing to do whatever it is going to take to win”. Both players are still expected to be on Madison’s campus this upcoming fall to play for the Badgers.
