The game did not go the full nine innings, but the Milwaukee Brewers' 5-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals was all but decided from the get-go.
Keston Hiura's RBI single and Mike Moustakas' three-run homer against Adam Wainwright gave the Brewers a 4-0 lead before the Cardinals even had a chance to grab a bat. Hiura came up big again in the fourth inning with a RBI double to drive in Christian Yelich. The Cardinals would chip away at the lead with two runs in the fifth inning and a single tally in the sixth. The game went into a rain delay before the bottom of the eighth and was made official a while later.
The Brewers head back to Miller Park to play a weekend set against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
