A late-game rally was not enough to help the Milwaukee Brewers get the series sweep Sunday afternoon, falling to the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-2.
The Diamondbacks slugged two home runs in the first four innings with an RBI single by Tim Locastro giving them a five-run cushion entering the later stages of the game. The Brewers would get on the board in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a Manny Pina solo home run. Ryan Braun added one more tally in the eighth inning, but Archie Bradley secured the win for the Diamondbacks with his seventh save of the season in the ninth.
The Brewers begin a critical six-game stretch Monday night in Milwaukee where they will host the St. Louis Cardinals for a three-game series before traveling to Chicago for another set against the Cubs.
