Brewers fall in extras to Astros

Christian Yelich's 43rd homer of the season merely extended the game for the Milwaukee Brewers in its 3-2 loss to the Houston Astros in 10 innings.

Yasmani Grandal opened the scoring for the Brewers with his 22nd homer in the bottom of the first to stake them to a 1-0 lead. The Astros would tie it up on an Alex Bregman single in the third inning and take the lead with a home run by Yordan Alvarez. Following Yelich's heroics in the ninth inning, George Springer hit a solo shot against Junior Guerra to give the Astros the series-opening win.

The two teams meet again Tuesday night at Miller Park beginning at 6:40 p.m.
