Coming on the heels of a huge home upset this weekend, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's women's basketball team came out flat Tuesday night. The Phoenix managed only five first quarter points. The output was a marginally better 16 at halftime. For the game, Green Bay shot just 38 percent from the field while allowing Marquette to have eight steals. The Phoenix also shot a paltry 25 percent from the free throw line. It was a breakdown in all facets of the offensive game.
The Phoenix defense wasn't shabby, perhaps their most complete effort of the year, but they still fell, 60-47. guard Frankie Wurtz led the team with 13 points. Green Bay is now 2-2 on the year and take the court again on Saturday.
