Both Phoenix teams earn big wins

The Green Bay Phoenix men's and women's teams earned big wins Saturday night to close out their Thanksgiving weekend slates.

On the women's side, the Phoenix earned their 11th win over a ranked opponent in program history, outlasting #18 Syracuse  79-73 in overtime in its final game at the Greater Victoria Invitational. Lyndsey Robson scored 13 points in  the win, but none bigger than her buzzer-beating half-court shot to force the game into the extra stanza. Caitlyn Hibner led all scorers with 30 points.

Southeast of the women's team's heroics, the Phoenix team blew past Montana State 98-72 in Bozeman. Freshman Amari Davis continued his special start to the season, scoring 28 points and collecting seven rebounds in his first start of the season. JayQuan McCloud, Cody Schwartz, Kam Hankerson, and Josh McNair each scored in double figures in the win.
