Short-handed Phoenix fall at Oakland

Finishing with just four players was just one quick scene of a rough road trip opener for the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team, falling to Oakland 93-88.

Going into Thursday's game with just eight players to begin with, the Phoenix lost sophomore Hailey Oskey late and saw three other players foul out. The Grizzlies were able to take to the Phoenix at the free throw line, hitting 31 of their 34 attempts. Frankie Wurtz tried to will the Phoenix to victory, scoring 25 points while Madison Wolf chipped in another 16 points to go with her 18 rebounds. The Phoenix come back home after their Saturday matinee at Detroit Mercy.
