If you have a knack for nostalgia, then the Milwaukee Brewers will still technically play on opening day.
It is a part of the MLB #OpeningDayAtHome initiative to still bring some excitement to the day despite the actual games not being played due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Brewers' television and flagship radio station homes will re-air last year's opening day win over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Brewers will have several other games replayed on TV this month as MLB tries to quench the country's thirst for baseball. The Brewers were slated to begin their chase for a third straight playoff appearance Thursday afternoon against the Chicago Cubs.
