Lauer reports to Brewers Camp after COVID scare

It is better late than never for Milwaukee Brewers' pitcher Eric Lauer.

Lauer made his first summer camp experience just before the weekend after it was learned one of his close contacts tested positive for COVID-19. Lauer is healthy after experiencing shoulder discomfort during spring training. Since he is behind schedule, Lauer joined Brewers infielder Luis Urías and pitcher Angel Perdomo on the COVID-19 injured list after it was learned they had tested positive. The Brewers are two weeks out from opening day at Wrigley Field, though the squad will participate in their own "World Series" for bragging rights leading up to their exhibition game next Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox in the Windy City.
