Controversy surrounds Milwaukee's return to hardwood

The Milwaukee Bucks stepped onto an NBA court for a regular-season game Friday night, their first in over four months, beating Boston, 119-112. The game wasn’t without controversy, though. Tied at 107 with less than 90 seconds in regulation, Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo drove into the lane with five fouls already to his name. He ran over Celtics guard Marcus Smart at the edge of the restricted area underneath the basket. Smart tried to shuffle his feet to be outside the zone but was too late in getting set. The play was initially called a charge on the floor, which would have caused Antetokounmpo to foul out, before being overturned on video review.

Antetokounmpo threatened for a triple-double. He had 36 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists. Small forward Khris Middleton chipped in 18 points and a team-high eight assists. Milwaukee plays the Houston Rockets from Orlando on Sunday night at 7:30.
