Winless in Milwaukee, the Brewers were able to nab both games in Chicago including Thursday 8-3 win over the White Sox.
After the White Sox jumped out to a 2-0 lead on Leurys Garcia home run, the Brewers' Jedd Gyorko cut the lead in half with the first of his three RBI on a single. Gyorko would strike again with a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning, but that was after Christian Yelich scored on a bizarre inside-the-home run tied the game a few batters before. Orlando Arcia concluded the four-run inning with a RBI single that drove in Justin Smoak. The Brewers would add insurance runs in the eighth thanks to RBI sac fly by Smoak and a two-run single by Mark Mathias. The White Sox closed the game in the ninth with Gsrcia's third RBI of the game on a double.
The Brewers will bounce back to Milwaukee on Friday for a weekend set against Cincinnati.
