The Milwaukee Brewers followed the lead of their city's basketball franchise let their stadium sit dark on Wednesday.
The game will not count as a loss for the Brewers as the Reds agreed with the postponement. The league was supportive of the decision according to Yahoo Sports and will work with both clubs to reschedule the game. Relief pitcher Josh Hader voiced his support for the Bucks' decision earlier in the day to sit out their game to Brewers beat writer Tom Haudricourt, saying he believed it was a tremendous stand. Similar to the Bucks decision, a ripple effect across MLB may be seen not just Wednesday but throughout the week.
