The National Basketball Association commissioner, Adam Silver has proposed a return date for the 2020-21 season on December 22nd, though the NBPA had preferred to start on January 18th a.k.a. Martin Luther King Day. ESPN is reporting that the NBPA has agreed to a December 22nd start date, which would pave the way for a 72-game season. Free agency would start as soon as possible after the draft on November 18th and training camps could start as soon as December 1st. Until then, the two sides will discuss some of the financial items before finalizing the deal.
