The Chicago Steel jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the first period and did not look back as the Green Bay Gamblers dropped their second straight of the weekend by the score of 9-3.
The game lacked flow in the first period between the eight combined goals and the eight combined penalties. Four of those penalties were 10-minute misconduct and two were five-minute majors. Alex Servagno and Ryan Kirwan tallied goals in the first period.
Matt Coronato earned his hat trick just three minutes in the second period, the only score of the frame. Coronato tallied five points total on the evening.
The Steel scored two goals in the third period before John Mittelstadt got his second goal of the season with just over three minutes remaining in the contest.
