Brewers win Spring Training finale

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Texas Rangers 6-3 in their final Spring Training game on Tuesday. The Brewers opened up the game scoring a run in the top of the first inning when Avisail Garcia would hit an RBI single to bring Christian Yelich home. The Brewers would give up two runs in the bottom of the first and be down 2-1 until the top of the third. Milwaukee did their most damage in the top of the third when Kolten Wong would hit a two-run homerun, bringing around Orlando Arcia as well. Avisail Garcia would get his second RBI when he would send Lorenzo Cain home on a sacrifice fly. Brice Turang would score on a double from Daniel Vogelbach. Daniel Vogelbach would get a run off of a Manny Pina single. The Brewers would lead 6-2 until the bottom of the eighth. The Rangers would post the final run of the game, but the Brewers would end the game on top, 6-3. The win wraps up Spring Training for the Crew, as they finish the exhibition season with a 15-11 record. 


 

The next time the Brewers take the field, all nine innings will be impactful to their pursuit of a playoff spot. Opening day will be in Milwaukee, as they take on the Minnesota Twins on Thursday. First pitch for the opener is scheduled for 1:10 PM.
