Baseball round-up: Clippers walk-off Blazers

Several teams will play games on consecutive days as the end of the regular season quickly approaches.

 

In Thursday's action, Gibraltar was shut out by Denmark 6-0 and Sturgeon Bay walked off NEW Lutheran 13-12. No score was reported in the Algoma/Oconto matchup. 

 

On Friday, Gibraltar will play a doubleheader against Oconto beginning at 3:45 p.m., Algoma hosts a twinbill against Sevastopol at 4:30 p.m., Luxemburg-Casco stays around town to face Clintonville at 4:30 p.m., Kewaunee battles Peshtigo at 5 p.m. and Southern Door will trade blows with NEW Lutheran at 5 p.m.

 

In Northwoods League action, the Green Bay Booyah were down 7-0 before reaching the scoreboard in the top of the eighth inning in a 7-3 defeat.

 

In MLB play, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Christian Yelich each went deep in the bottom of the third as the Milwaukee Brewers went onto beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-4 in the desert.
