Gibraltar/Washington Island saw their streak of consecutive regional titles end on Wednesday in a 12-9 loss to Mishicot.
The Indians jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and led 6-1 in the third, but then saw the lead erased by the Vikings in the third and fourth innings. The Vikings took the lead in the fourth inning thanks to a six-run frame. The Indians would respond with single tallies in the fifth and sixth innings to make it 9-8 entering the seventh. The Vikings would give up four runs in the top half of the inning and were unable to scrape up enough baserunners to take bite out of the Indians' lead.
The Vikings end the season 13-8.
