Brewers slow at the plate in loss

The Milwaukee Brewers couldn’t turn their six hits into more than just one run in their 5-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. After the top of the first inning Milwuakee was down 1-0 and then after the sixth they were down 5-0. Milwaukee’s lone run came on a Luis Urias solo home run. With the loss the Brewers are now 78-50 and will have a series with the cross-state foe, the Minnesota Twins. Friday’s game at Target Field in the twin cities starts at 7:10 PM.

In other area baseball news, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were downed 7-5 on Thursday by the Quad Cities River Bandits. The Rattlers play another road game with the Bandits on Friday at 6:30 PM.
