Two local runners saw their cross country runners get extended by a week thanks to great performances at their respective WIAA Sectional meets on Saturday.
Sevastopol's Bea Dramm ran a 20:16 5K to finish sixth overall and nab one of the five individual qualifier spots for the girls. The Pioneers finished in sixth place with Lourdes Academy and Valders capturing the top spots for teams.
Kewaunee's Cameron Cullen was in a similar situation, finishing in sixth place with a time of 17:28 and capturing an individual qualifier spot for the state meet. The Storm finished in fifth place as a team behind first place Valders and second place Sheboygan Christian.
All seven local schools competed in Saturday's sectional meets in Kiel (Division 2) and Manitowoc (Division 3). Below are the fastest times for each school.
