College basketball round-up: Marquette upsets Illinois

Marquette scored an upset while Wisconsin lost a rare home game Tuesday night to highlight college basketball action.

The Golden Eagles were down 20 points at one point in their game against the Illinois Fighting Illini, but clawed all the way back thanks to a Tyler Kolek game-winning lay-up with 18 seconds to play to win 67-66 at the Fiserv Forum.

The Badgers could not recover from a slow second half as Brad Davison's  25 points was not enough to beat the Providence Friars 63-58 to snap an over 20-game non-conference winning streak at the Kohl Center.

The Green Bay Phoenix basketball teams do not play until later this week when the men play UNC Greensboro at the Jersey Mike's Classic in Florida for a 2 p.m. tip and the women play at home against Northern Kentucky.
