Eagles girls' season ends in Two Rivers on 104.1 WRLU

A crucial 10-0 run by Two Rivers Purple Raiders midway through the second half grounded the Southern Door Eagles' season with a 47-39 decision.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair where neither team could separate from each other. Kendra Shimon scored 19 points in the first half for the Eagles while Mackenzie Graff and Allyson Kakes combined for 23 points for the Purple Raiders as Southern Door entered the break holding a 27-26 advantage.

The Eagles would go on to score the first five points of the second half to get their largest lead as 32-26. The Raiders tightened up their defense and found themselves at the line as they scored the next 10 points and outscored the Eagles 21-7 in the final ten minutes of the game. Shimon scored 22 points after she hit one final three in the closing minute of the game. Isabella Price registered eight points and a collection of steals to complement Shimon on the night.

The Purple Raiders will play New Holstein in round two of the WIAA Division 3 Playoffs Friday night.
