The Green Bay Gamblers broke out of their scoring funk Saturday night with four second-period goals en route to a 7-2 victory over Muskegon.
The Gamblers' Cameron Lund scored the middle goal of three scores in the first period, but they found themselves down to the Lumberjacks 2-1. The Gamblers turned a one-goal deficit into a three-goal lead thanks to a pair of scores from Sawyer Scholl and tallies from Brody Lamb and Ryan Greene. Luke Weilandt and Lund would close out the game with goals for the Gamblers to send them to their first win in two weeks. Rastislav Elias registered 31 saves on 33 shots seen.
The win gives the Gamblers confidence heading into their Sunday matinee against the surging Team USA U-18 squad. Puck drop is set for 3:05 p.m. in Plymouth.
