The Green Bay Rockers scored two runs in the opening frame but not much else went right in their 10-3 loss to the Wausau Woodchucks Wednesday night.
Keniel De Leon and Collier Cranford opened the game with run-producing at-bats in the first inning, only to see the Woodchucks storm back with identical four-run innings in the first and second innings. Starting pitcher Chris Sleeper just lasted one inning and two others failed to last two innings. A big reason why was a knack for missing the strike zone. Rockers pitchers combined to walk 16 batters, which was twice as many hits allowed (8) and almost four times more than strikeouts registered (5). Four different Woodchucks collected at least two RBI in the game. De Leon provided the only other offense of the game for the Rockers when he singled home his second RBI of the game in the sixth inning.
