Luis Urias’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning led the Milwaukee Brewers to a 7-6 victory over the Minnesota Twins at American Family Field Tuesday night.
Milwaukee jumped to a 4-1 lead with a four-run second inning, aided by a three-run homer by Hunter Renfroe, who has homered in four of the five games since the All-Star break.
Minnesota eventually reclaimed the lead 6-5 with a three-run fifth inning off Brewer reliever Trevor Gott who came in for starter Ethan Small in the fourth inning.
The Brewers tied up the game in the bottom of the fifth inning and the score stayed that way until Urias’ sacrifice fly in the ninth to score Andrew McCutchen.
Josh Hader (1-4) picked up his first win of the season pitching a scoreless ninth inning.
Milwaukee (54-44) and Minnesota (52-45) will finish up the two-day series Wednesday at 1:10 pm before the Brewers head to Boston for another interleague series against the Boston Red Sox this weekend.
