Brewers fall to Pirates

The Milwaukee Brewers could not hold on to a 3-0 lead and fell to the Pittsburg Pirates at PNC Park Tuesday evening 5-3.

The Brewers scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning on three solo home runs.  First, Willy Adames hit his 21st home run of the season and then Rowdy Telez went back-to-back with his 21st of the year.  After an out, Kolton Wong hit his eighth homer of the season to give the Brewers a 3-0 lead.

Pittsburg came roaring back with five runs of their own in the bottom of the sixth to capture the win.

All-Star pitcher Corbin Burnes (8-5) started for the Brewers but could not get out of the sixth inning and took the loss giving up four runs on just three hits.

The Brewers and Pirates will play Wednesday in game two of the series with first pitch slated for 6:05 pm.
