Brewers one-hit Diamondbacks, season finale Wednesday

Even though the Milwaukee Brewers were eliminated from the playoffs a day earlier, Starting pitcher Eric Lauer and two relievers pitched the best game of the season for Milwaukee with a one-hit performance on Tuesday night.  The Brewers shut out Arizona Diamondbacks 3-0, with Lauer going six no-hit innings with seven strikeouts and four walks.  Jake Cousins pitched a scoreless eighth inning allowing the only hit while striking out the side, and Peter Strzelecki finished with a perfect ninth to close out the win.

Luis Urias led the Brewers with three hits and two RBIs, including a third-inning solo home run.

The Brewers (86-75) and Diamondbacks will close out the 2022 campaign with a 3:10 afternoon start at American Family Field.
