Luxemburg-Casco lost one match and took six points in every other weight class as they beat Marinette 78-3.
Starting at 106 pounds, Jake Jandrin, Michael Bostwick, Blakelee Bastien, Easton Worachek, Caleb Delebreau, George Herlache, Ryan Routhieaux, Sam Schutz, Trace Schoenebeck, Ezra Waege, and Javier Contreras. Only Waege's pin occurred outside of the first period. The Marines' lone win came at the 220-pound weight class, where Spartans' sophomore Caleb Salentine battled but lost 6-4 to Jaxon Smith.
The Spartans varsity wrestling team is back in action on Saturday when they host Bay Port, Port Washington, Sheboygan Falls, and Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln beginning at 9 a.m.
Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol and Kewaunee will compete at an invitational Friday night in Kimberly featuring Amherst, Appleton East, Appleton North, Appleton West, Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, Berlin, Brillion, Chilton, Clintonville Truckers, Coleman Cougars, Denmark, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Fond du Lac, Fox Valley Lutheran, Freedom, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay West, Green Lake/Princeton, Kaukauna, Kiel, Kimberly, Manitowoc, Menasha, Merrill, Mishicot, Neenah, New Holstein, New London, Oshkosh North, Princeton, Shawano Community, Shiocton, Wautoma, West De Pere, Weyauwega Fremont, Wild Rose, Winneconne, Wrightstown, and Luxemburg-Casco JV. First matches begin at 4 p.m.
