Packers keep playoff hopes alive vs. Rams

The Green Bay Packers dominated the time of possession as they passed the Los Angeles Rams under the bright lights of Lambeau Field 24-12.

The two teams matched each other with field goals in the game's early stages before A.J. Dillion rumbled in for the first of his two touchdowns with just over four minutes remaining. The Rams drove into field goal territory on the next drive and hit a 55-yard field goal to make it 10-6 at the break. It was only the third field goal in Lambeau Field history that was over 50 yards when the temperatures were at least that cold.

The Packers put the game away in the third quarter when they scored on consecutive possessions thanks to Dillion's second rushing touchdown and a seven-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers to Aaron Jones to make it 24-6. The Rams would answer again, with Baker Mayfield finding Tyler Higbee in the endzone for the game's final score. The two teams would each turn the ball over and punt in the fourth quarter, with the Packers soaking up the last 8:51 to secure their second straight victory.

Rodgers threw for 229 yards to go along with his touchdown pass and interception, while Mayfield also managed to throw a touchdown and interception on 111 yards passing. Jones rushed for 90 yards as the Packers outgained the Rams on the ground 138 yards to 72.

The Packers are back in action on Christmas Day in Miami.
