Brewers blow past Guardians

Brandon Woodruff gave up a lone unearned run across three innings and the Milwaukee Brewers put up crooked numbers in three different innings in their 12-4 victory over the Cleveland Guardians in spring training play Friday.

Mike Brosseau dealt the game's big blows in two separate innings with a home run with a solo homer in the second inning and a bases-clearing double in the third inning that made it 8-1. Andruw Monasterio drove in a pair on the day and five other Brewers drove in at least one run.

Brewers pitching only allowed two earned runs on the day while four pitchers posted scoreless frames.

The Brewers are back in action Saturday when they play the Kansas City Royals at 2:10 p.m.
