The area's Packerland Conference teams hope they can have similar luck to Luxemburg-Casco when they play on the softball diamond on Friday.
Luxemburg-Casco put up ten runs in the sixth on its way to a 13-2 victory over the Denmark Vikings on Thursday. Luxemburg-Casco’s offense in the inning was led by Josie Dorner, Kate Van Ess, Erin Cherovsky, Grace Kahr, Payton Kaminski, and Kylie Hanson who all drove in runs. They will play a pair of games at Fox Valley Lutheran beginning at 4 p.m. in Appleton.
Gibraltar dropped its game against Crivitz 11-1.
Packerland games scheduled for Friday include Algoma at Oconto (3:30 p.m.), Sturgeon Bay playing at home against Gibraltar (4:30 p.m.), Southern Door playing at Kewaunee (4 p.m.), and Sevastopol battling at NEW Lutheran (4 p.m.).
