Around the Track: Kewaunee boys win Peshtigo Invite, full night scheduled

The Kewaunee boys track team continued their dominant spring on Thursday, this time winning the Peshtigo Invitational.

 

The boys won the meet with 187 points, 72 points more than second-place Marinette and 87 more points than the host Bulldogs. Maddix Mueller (triple jump), Jordan Lamack (high jump), two relays, and Isaac Schlies (300m hurdles) won their events while there were 19 other top-five performances. The girls were strong as well, taking second place as they came 23 points from toppling their hosts as well. Hannah Miller (triple jump, long jump, 800m) and Fany Pecout (100m) took home wins while the teams posted 12 other top-five performances.

 

The Storm will get back out to the track on Friday when they run against Luxemburg-Casco, Little Chute, Manitowoc Lincoln, Manitowoc Lutheran, Mishicot, Oconto Falls, Two Rivers, Valders, Wrightstown at the Two Rivers Invitational with the first events starting at 4 p.m.

 

Gibraltar heads to Hilbert for an invitational featuring Chilton, Kaukauna, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, Ozaukee, Roncalli, Sheboygan North, St. Mary Catholic, and Suring. First events begin at 4 p.m.

 

Southern Door will also head south for their track meet as they visit Sheboygan Falls. The first events featuring Cedar Grove-Belgium, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Kohler, New Holstein, Oostburg, Plymouth, Random Lake, Sheboygan North, and Kewaskum begin at 4 p.m.
