Gibraltar and Luxemburg-Casco will be featured on NEW Radio Sports Network broadcasts Friday afternoon as the baseball season heads into its final weeks.
The Gibraltar baseball team will take another break from Packerland play for a non-conference matchup against Mishicot on Friday afternoon. Tim Kowols will call the action on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 4:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 4:30 p.m. It is the first of our weekend full of baseball on 105.1 The GOAT, which also includes Gibraltar and Kewaunee playing at Fox Cities Stadium on Saturday and Sister Bay visiting West Jacksonport on the opening day of the Door County Baseball League season.
Over on 104.1 WRLU, the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans will look to avenge a Tuesday loss to Fox Valley Lutheran, when they face the Foxes Friday afternoon in Luxemburg in North Eastern Conference baseball. The game will be broadcast on 104.1 WRLU beginning at 4:15 p.m. the pregame. with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The game will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network with Paul Schmitt and Gary Barta on the call.
Other games scheduled for Friday include Sturgeon Bay playing a pair at Peshtigo (4:30 p.m.).
In Thursday's action, Kewaunee could not keep up with Denmark in a 13-4 loss, Algoma came back late to beat Sturgeon Bay 16-7 and 15-5, and Sevastopol dropped their games to NEW Lutheran 7-1 and 9-1.
