Brewers bounce back with big bullpen game win over Cardinals

An unexpected bullpen game ended up with a huge 3-2 win for the Milwaukee Brewers Tuesday night against the St. Louis Cardinals.  Starting pitcher Wade Miley left the game in the second inning after straining his left lat.  Milwaukee’s five relief pitchers were then able to shut down the Cardinals the rest of the way, allowing just one run in 7.1 innings of play.  Joey Wiemer hit a solo home run in the fifth inning and Brian Anderson hit a solo shot in the sixth to carry the Brewers to victory.  Devin Williams pitched the final 1.1 innings to close out the game for the save.  Milwaukee (24-18) and St. Louis (17-26) will play the rubber game of the series tonight at 6:45 p.m. in St. Louis after the Cardinals took game one 18-1 Monday.
