Local DC WAVE soccer team captures U19 tournament championship

The DC Wave soccer team finished their weekend in the Fox Valley being crowned the U-19 champions at the Menasha Tournament held over the weekend,

Coached by Matt Broomhall, the DC Wave captured the crown by winning 3 of 4 games and beating PS Oregon Soccer Club.    This is the second straight year that the DC WAVE Soccer Team - U19 age bracket won their division at the 2023 Menasha Classic.

The team is made of players from Door County and DC WAVE is the only select soccer team in Door County.   The team played 4 games over 2 days at the tournament, coming back to win 2-1 in the championship game against Oregon PS Soccer Club.

DC WAVE is the only Select Soccer Club in Door County as they play under the banner of the United Soccer Club of Allouez as part of the Classic League, which consists of teams located in the East Central District of WI.

The DC WAVE's goal is to provide local soccer players the opportunity to develop their skills and to compete at a higher level, without having to burden parents with the travel requirements that many Green Bay and Fox Cities clubs have.   These are competitive teams, where players learn and develop their skills, as well as make friendships that last.  DC WAVE players often start playing with us around age 10 or 11 and continue through their senior year of high school.   Players come from all parts of Door County -   We currently have players from Sturgeon Bay, Sevastopol, Fish Creek (Gibraltar), Algoma and Kewaunee!  DC WAVE is not just a Sturgeon Bay club – this is for all players in Door County.

We have 3 teams - ages U15, U17 and U19 with 48 players from all over Door County.
