Fifteen athletes from six of the seven local schools will be heading to next weekend's WIAA State Track meet hosted at UW-LaCrosse after successful outings at the D2 Sectional at Little Chute and D3 Sectional at Marathon.

Logan Borths once again had success in his wheelchair events for Algoma, taking first in the 100m and 400m and being bested by Marathon's Drake Carlson in the shot put and 1600m.

Gibraltar's McKailey Reisen qualified for the state meet with a personal best in the 100m hurdles to take third place overall.

Kewaunee's Hannah Miller continued her magical freshman campaign by qualifying for the state meet in the triple jump and the 400m run where she set a personal record. Kemper Robinson (discus) and Jordan Lamack (high jump) also qualified for the state meet with their performances.

The Luxemburg-Casco track team will be represented in two different events at next weekend's state meet in LaCrosse. Pole vaulter George Herlache took second overall while the girls' 4x400m relay made up of Lydia Morozov, Grace Seering, Elaina Holschuh, and Mckenna Rank clinched their spot by taking fourth in the event.

Two of the Sevastopol track team's most consistent performers all season long have one more meet left after placing in the top four in their respective events at the Marathon sectional meet. Kylie Duessler was the team's highest placeholder, taking third in the 200m with a season-best time. Bea Dramm qualified for the state meet next weekend in the 1600m and 3200m. Her 1600m was a personal best.

Sturgeon Bay will send three athletes after Espen Walker advanced after finishing first with a leap of 6’-3”. Joining Walker in the trip to LaCrosse is Madelyn Wind, who finished third in the shot put with a toss of 36’-4 3/4” Nida Zukauskaite will also head to the state meet after she finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.42. She ran a personal record in the preliminary round to stage for the state qualifying performance.

Southern Door boasted several good performances, but they will have any athletes representing the school at the state meet.
