Several athletes medal already at state track meet

A day in and there is already plenty of hardware coming back from the WIAA State Track Meet in LaCrosse.

 

ALGOMA

Logan Borths has already added to his medal collection, finishing in sixth place with a throw of 15-6.75, which was his second-best in his high school career. He will take to the track on day two of the state track meet.

 

KEWAUNEE

Hannah Miller finished just outside of the finals for the 400m, running a time of 1:01.89, which was good for 14th. She did reach the podium in the triple jump with a leap of 36-00. Maddix Mueller cleared 6-00 to finish in 14th. 

 

STURGEON BAY

Espen Walker was the top finisher of any local athlete on the day, taking third place in the high jump with a leap of 6-02. Nida Zukauskaite did not advance to the Division 2 100m hurdles finals, coming in 16th place with a time of 17.48.

 

LUXEMBURG-CASCO

The 4x400m relay ream featuring Lydia Morozov, Grace Seering, Elaina Holschuh, Madyson VanArk, and Eva Junion finished outside of the qualification window, coming in 15th with a time of 4:11.55.

 

SEVASTOPOL 

Kylie Duessler came in 16th place in the 200m preliminaries, finishing in a time of 27.95. Bea Dramm came in 14th place in the 1600m run with a time of 5:42.45

 

GIBRALTAR

McKailey Reisen punched her ticket to the 100m hurdles during her heat, coming in fifth place with a time of 16.22.
