The trade deadline is getting more clarity with every win the Milwaukee Brewers stack up, including Sunday's 4-3 against the division's former leaders, the Cincinnati Reds.
Down 1-0 early, Christian Yelich's solo shot tied the game before the Reds made it 3-1 in the bottom half of the inning. Yelich cut the lead again in the top of the fifth inning to make it 3-2. The Brewers would take the lead in the eighth inning thanks to RBI from Owen Miller and Andruw Monasterio.
The win turned a chasing Brewers squad into the division's leaders by a two-game margin thanks to a young bullpen that did not give up a run across the three days.
The Brewers look to extend their lead in the NL Central on Tuesday when they travel to Philadelphia for a series against the Phillies.
