DCU continues hot start with win over Pulaski, meet at Ashwaubenon Saturday

Door County United (DCU) girls high school swim team luck continues with their win over Pulaski High School on 9/7/23. DCU scored 117 points and Pulaski scored 49 points. There was no junior varsity competition from Pulaski, however the DCU junior varsity team had great success. Hannah Schley (SDHS), Emma Moyer (SDHS), and Anna Massart (SDHS) all completed the 50 yard freestyle in under 40 seconds. As for the varsity events, DCU finished first in every event except for the final relay. The team made quite a statement finishing first and second overall in the first event, the 200 yard medley relay. The first place relay consisted of Julia Michalski (SBHS), Danica Neville (SDHS), Aurora Breci (SEV), and Cassie Rankin (SEV). The second place relay consisted of Anika Steinbach (SBHS), Caitlyn Hasenjager (SEV), Isabella Jiminez Seyfer (SBHS), and Kailyn Neville (SDHS). Senior Natalia Michalski (SBHS) was an integral scorer during this meet finishing first in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:01.95. She also finished second overall in the 100 yard backstroke. The DCU team will travel to Ashwaubenon on Saturday 9/9/23 for a non-conference invitational. They will host their next conference match up on Thursday 9/14/23 vs Clintonville High School at the Door County YMCA.
